Our Work in Ghana

Expanding Our Impact to the Volta Region

FamU Foundation is excited to announce the expansion of our programs to the Volta Region of Ghana. This expansion is a natural progression of our mission to empower single mothers and create sustainable change in communities that need it most.

The Volta Region was chosen for its vibrant culture, strong community bonds, and the significant need for resources to support single mothers. We are partnering with local organizations to ensure our programs are culturally sensitive and tailored to the specific needs of the community.

Our work in Ghana will focus on providing financial literacy training, educational scholarships, and mental health resources to single mothers. We will also be working with local leaders to advocate for policies that support women and children.

FamU Foundation vision in action

Our culture is the heartbeat of who we are

We bring our vision to life through our organizational culture, extending far beyond what's visible on our website or in our programs. Our culture isn't just words – it's the guiding principles that our team lives by, shaping our decisions and actions every single day.

We believe in dignity, respect, and the inherent strength of every single mother. Our approach is rooted in empowerment rather than dependency, community building rather than isolation, and sustainable solutions rather than temporary fixes. These values guide everything we do, from our direct service delivery to our policy advocacy work.
